Courtney Hull serves as the Associate Dean of Fire/EMS Training at Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She served in the field as a career Firefighter/AEMT with the Menomonee Falls Fire Department prior to transitioning to a full-time role in Fire and EMS Education in 2010. Courtney has taught as a part-time Fire and EMS instructor since 2007 and enjoys preparing the next generation of leaders for a sustainable and healthy career in the fire service and other related fields. She has a Master’s Degree in Training and Development and is passionate about developing instructors to provide high quality education in inclusive environments. Courtney’s strengths in the classroom include implementing strategies to build relationships with students, developing creative lessons to increase engagement to proactively manage classroom behaviors, and providing holistic student support to increase student success. Courtney's strengths as a leader include strategic planning to create a shared vision and culture of engagement, cultivating creative solutions to common problems, and developing high performing teams to achieve results in a collaborative environment.

Courtney also strongly believes in community engagement and service above self which is evident through her participation in numerous volunteer engagements, supporting fundraising endeavors and involvement with non-profits. She spent 15 years with the Wisconsin Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth with 5 of those years in a leadership position from Activities Director to Camp Director.

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys traveling, photography, trying new foods and cheering on her young son at his sporting events.
